Family reunification, classes, and other resources are available to help you navigate the immigration process. Receive short-term housing assistance, support, and community from local parish partners through our Parish-Family Sponsorship Program. Immigration Services: As a Department of Justice (DOJ) recognized program, our purpose is to provide immigration legal services to ensure that low-income and underserved immigrants can receive affordable, high-quality legal services. We are dedicated to guiding immigrants through complex immigration processes by offering informed advice, assisting in preparation of applications, and helping them to secure the documentation they need to reunite with their families, protect their rights, and achieve long-term stability in the United States. Services offered include:
- Representation at The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Chicago
- Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA)
- Family Based Petitions: Adjustment of Status, Consular Process, and Removal of Conditions from Residency
- Inquiries for the Status of Cases at USCIS and Other Government Agencies, Including U.S. Embassies and Consulates Abroad
- Naturalization/Citizenship
- Outreach and Community Education on Immigration Issues
- Replacement/Renewal of Permanent Residence Cards
- Temporary Protected Status (TPS)
- U Visa Applications for Victims of Certain Qualifying Crimes
- Violence Against Women Act (VAWA)
- Visa Extension and Renewal
- Work Authorization
- Military Parole in Place (PIP)
Parish-Family Sponsorship Program: In partnership with parishes across the Archdiocese of Chicago, we support the resettlement and community integration of immigrant families, providing up to six months of rental assistance and support services to families who have arrived in Chicago within the past 36 months and are experiencing housing instability.
The Welcoming Center: The Welcoming Center in Waukegan is a gathering place for immigrant individuals and families. Together with community partners, we offer an array of activities, classes, and programs. All are welcome. There are no income or eligibility criteria:

- Employment skills development
- English as a Second Language (ESL) classes
- Family wellness programs
- Financial education and support
- Immigration services
- Literacy tutoring
- Tax preparation
